- 00:05 - There are three verb groups in Japanese. Verb groups only effect the way that verbs are changed into different forms.
- 00:20 - The first verb group in Japanese is called βichidanβ which end in -γγγor -γγ (any γ or γ row kana plus γ).
- 00:44 - To change an ichidan verb you simply remove the -γ on the end and attach what you want.
- 01:03 - The second verb group is βgodanβ and it covers all of the possible verb endings. Verbs that end in γγ or γγ may sometimes on rare occasions be godan verbs instead of ichidan.

- 03:40 - The first godan ending group is βγγ€γβ. This group consists of verbs ending in γ, γ€, or γ. They are transformed into the γ¦ or γ form by removing this character and replacing it with γ£γ¦ or γ£γ.

- 05:06 - The second godan ending group is βγ¬γΆγβ. This group consists of verbs ending in γ¬, γΆ, and γ. To transform them to the γ¦ or γ form their ending is removed and replaced with γγ§ or γγ .
- 06:39 - The third and fourth godan groups are similar and can essentially be grouped together. The groups are γ and γ. γ is transformed to γγ¦ or γγ, γ turns into γγ§ or γγ .

- 07:38 - The fifth and final group is γ. Verbs ending in γ transform to γγ¦ or γγ.
- 08:04 - θ©±γ β θ©±γγ¦ / θ©±γγ.
- 08:28 - For the irregular verbs, γγ (come) becomes γγ¦/γγ, γγ (do) becomes γγ¦/γγ, and γγ (go) turns into γγ£γ¦.
